Preparing Payroll Records

The Social Security program was established on August 14, 1935. The purpose of this program was to help the elderly people, blind people, crippled and dependent children, child and maternal welfare, public health and the administration of their unemployment compensation laws.

As of the year 2007 the Social Security program has paid 594.5 billion dollars to beneficiaries.

I think the money that goes into the Social Security program should go back to the people who paid for it in the first place or at least some of the money not all of it.

QuickBooks

Some accounting processes that QuickBooks automate is balance sheet and income statements, sales reports, accounts receivable reports, purchasing reports, accounts payable reports, account registers, customer and vendor reports, inventory reports, and payroll reports.

Computerized accounting systems has changed the way accounting is done by saving time and effort, eliminates mathematical errors and allows much more timely information rather than doing it manually.

Yes it still is necessary to understand accounting when using a commputerized accounting system because there are differences the way they are used. Granted, the computer might do all the mathematical problems for you, but you still have to understand why it is doing that. Its harder to do it manually, but you would probably get a better understanding of how it works other than the computerized system. You have to understand accounting either way: computerized or manually.

Communication Overload

An advantage of e-mail is its fast. You can recieve and deliver mail almost instantly. If you are buying and selling products, your decision can be made in a heartbeat. Another advantage is its inexpensive. Compared to using the phones or faxes, e-mail is way less expensive. Another advantage is its easy to filter. You can set it up to where your priority mail is the first ones you see and the others will be set aside for later. One more advantage is its very reliable and secure and they are still striving to improve tighter security levels.

One of the biggest disadvantages of e-mail is the capability for misunderstanding. It can be used to talk to more than one person at a time even though people think is should be a one-to-one communication medium. Another disadvantage is active participation. Some people check their e-mail every two minutes of the day while others only check theirs once a week or once a month.

My experience with e-mail is not the best. I have a couple of e-mail accounts, but I very rarely check them.

Spring Break 2009

My Spring break was fantastic. I went to the movies with some friends which was fun as always. I also went to the Science Spectrum with my brother which by the way was absolutely fun because we watched an IMAX movie about sea creatures. While I was at home and not out doing other things, I helped keep the house clean, bathed my dog, cooked supper, washed my car and other household chores. The break went by super slow so I took advantage of enjoying every bit of it.
